Prior to journalism, I volunteered as an ER advocate for survivors of sexual assault, taught English in South Korea, and worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade. In the Clinic, I’m especially interested in learning about sexism and LGBTQ discrimination in medical training.

Jill Shah
I'm a multimedia journalist with a focus on business and data journalism at the Newmark School of Journalism in New York City. I also studied Anthropology at Northwestern University, and I spent 6 years working at the intersection of global health, international development and technology before becoming a journalist.
